Week 2 of the study on the Christian Home by Clarence Sexton.
        Marriage By Divine Design
Monday: Genesis 2:24
  "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." The instruction is for the husband to leave and cleave. There are some who are married and live with their in-laws that's fine the loyalty is to the spouse and the if you have respectable parents it tends to go more smooth as well. In the end it is you and your husband, he is and will always be accountable for you.
Tuesday: Genesis 5:2; Leviticus 18:22
  " Male and female created he them; and blesses them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created."~Gen. 5:2
 " Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with woman kind: it is abomination."~ Leviticus 18:22
          Marriage is one MAN and one WOMAN. God didn't create marriage for homosexuals! In the beginning it took one man (Adam) and one woman (Eve). Homosexuality is a sin, there is no way around it,
   Romans 1:26-28," And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and recieving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
                    And even as they did not liek to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;"
People may have issues with the truth, but don't get angry at the Christian we are only the messengers.
 Wednesday: Hebrews13:4
        "Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge."
      This verse is not hard to understand, God will judge those that "fool" around and have taken His gift of sex and misused it. Its simple. But, there is forgiveness! If you start over and work with God and walk beside Him you can overcome anything.
Thursday: Proverbs 2:16-17
  "To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;"
    Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God."
The "strange woman" is a prostitute, a harlot, impure. She leads men astray, men are easily drawn if sex is thrown in their face. But, Solomon was telling his son, stay away! This woman has turned her back on the teaching of purity and turned her back on the promise made to God of purity.
Friday: Proverbs 6:24-26
     " To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman."
     " Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids."
     "For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adultress will hunt for the precious life."
 A whorish woman because of her beauty and her flirtatious ways could bring a man to a piece of bread. She could make him do anything she wants. That's dangerous especially for the Christian Man, the home is to be protected from that.
Saturday: Matthew 19:3-9
    "The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?"
    "And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that hewhich made them at the beginning made them male and female,"
   "And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?"
   "Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put assunder."
  " They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?"
  " He saith unto them, Moses becuase fo the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so."
 " And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery."
    Marriage was built to last, not until you want to marry someone else. Today people don't want to fix the potholes they just want to make other roads. Ladies, that's the wrong mentality, Jesus was telling the Pharisees, God made marriage in the beginning to last, Moses may have made the command of divorce, but God didn't make it. It's quite clear. And remarrying is adultery,  even more cause to work your marriage out. Marriage is to be Christ-honoring.
